He’s a wanted man, reportedly
Barcelona defender Yerry Mina has seemingly become a wanted man after his World Cup heroics with Colombia in Russia.
The centre-back scored three goals in three games for Jose Pekerman’s side as they made it to the last-16 only to be beaten by England on penalties.
There had already been plenty of speculation about Mina’s future before the tournament but it seems to have gone into overdrive now.
First up are the Mirror who reckon that Liverpool are considering making a move for the 23-year-old.
Rivals Everton have gone one better though because according to Goal the Toffees have made a €24 million bid for Mina. Apparently talks have already taken place and Barcelona are willing to sell as long as they can insert a buy-back option in his contract.
But wait, there’s more, because Turkish side Fenerbahce also like the look of Mina and are willing to offer Barcelona a whopping €30m for the defender, according to Esport3.
Seeing as Barcelona only signed Mina for a reported fee of €11.8m in January that represents a massive profit.
As for Mina well he’s said he’s focused on Barcelona despite all the hype, but if Arthur arrives this summer the club will have too many non-EU players and one will have to go.
