After certain Barcelona players, cough* Ivan Rakitic and Philippe Coutinho, spoke quite kindly of PSG’s Neymar in recent days, the Barcelona board felt the need to come out and silence any speculation of a Neymar return to Barcelona on Monday. Board spokesperson Josep Vives came out and made it pretty clear that they weren’t aware of Neymar wishing to return to Barcelona.
“We are not aware of Neymar wanting to return to Barcelona,” Vives said on Monday night.
”The Brazilian was a player who left the club and we wished him luck at the time of his departure.
”Since then, nothing else has happened.
”We aren’t going to enter into a hypothetical debate about what someone says about a player that isn’t one of our own.”

The entire Neymar “saga” if we want to call it that, is amazing. Let’s be clear that he literally just left Barcelona less than a year ago and is already apparently being visited by PSG Chairman Nasser Al Khelaifi to “comfort” him.
It doesn’t matter that the trip is likely just for charity like PSG insist, because this story is picking up some internet steam regardless of its factual basis or not. Barcelona players and board spokesman Vives speaking about it just certainly make our daily lives more interesting.
