With Sunday’s hotly anticipated derby just hours away, Luis Enrique has revealed his 18 players who will be available to face RCD Espanyol. In what will be the final game of the season at Camp Nou (kick off 5.30pm CET), the manager has sprung no surprises in his selection.
FC Barcelona and Espanyol meet in much more than a derby on Sunday at the Camp Nou (5.00pm CET). The home side need all three points to ensure that they are still leaders on the final day. At the other end of the table, the visitors still need one point to ensure that they are mathematically safe from relegation.
With two games remaining in the league, Barça have the fate of the title in their hands, knowing that back-to-back victories will guarantee the retention of La Liga.
In keeping with tradition, the Barça and Espanyol managers posed for pictures with their respective shirts and shook hands in to symbolise that above anything else, the local derby is all about fair play and good relations between the neighbouring clubs.
