Bayern Munich vs Atlético Madrid, 2016 Champions League: List of injuries, suspensions

Bayern Munich and Atlético Madrid will face off in the Allianz Arena on Tuesday looking to decide which one will play at San Siro in the Milan Final later this month.

After winning the first leg 1-0, the Colchoneros are close to shocking the world for the second straight time, and knocking out Pep Guardiola's side just after eliminating Barcelona will certainly make Diego Simeone's legend grow even more. And if the advantage in the score wasn't enough, the Argentinean gets a gigantic piece of good news ahead of the second leg.

Defender Diego Godín has been medically cleared from a hamstring problem and likely to play in Munich if nothing changes until kickoff. The Uruguayan will certainly boost the best defense on the planet alongside his national teammate José Giménez, and will make it even more difficult for Bayern to score even at home.

And when Simeone's men go into attack, they have another big return: Belgian midfielder Yannick Ferreira Carrasco is back from an ankle issue, and his speed and skills might prove huge on the break, especially in the second half if the Colchoneros find some spaces.

But Guardiola also has an important return himself: Jerome Boateng came back from injury and played 65 minutes in the Bundesliga match against Borussia Mönchengladbach last Saturday, and looks set to start in Munich. The German defender gives Guardiola plenty of new tactical options, and his presence might help the Bavarians stop Atleti's dangerous fast breaks.

Unfortunately, Pep will miss two key offensive pieces: Arjen Robben was hoping to return from injury in time to play on Tuesday, but that didn't happen and the Dutch will not feature in the second leg. Another key Bayern winger, Franck Ribéry, is also set to miss the game in Munich with a back injury.

Since all yellow cards were wiped out after the quarterfinals, no players from either team are at risk of missing the Milan Final because of booking, unless they get a red card. This is the injury list for Tuesday:

Player (Team) Injury Status
Diego Godín (Atlético Madrid) Hamstring Probable
Tiago (Atlético Madrid) Leg Out
Yannick Carrasco (Atlético Madrid) Ankle Probable
Arjen Robben (Bayern Munich) Groin Out
Jerome Boateng (Bayern Munich) Groin Probable
Franck Ribéry (Bayern Munich) Back Doubtful
Holger Badstuber (Bayern Munich) Leg Out
