The teenager is back from international duty

Lamine Yamal has returned from international duty and has been training with Barcelona Atletic ahead of the team’s promotion play-off against Real Madrid Castilla.

The 15-year-old has been in stunning form for Spain’s Under-17’s at the European Championship in Hungary over the last few weeks.

Yamal scored four times, including some stunning strikes against France, Serbia and Ireland, before Spain were knocked out in the semi-finals.

Barca team-mate Marc Guiu is also back with the club and is another player who had a fine tournament. Giui also scored four goals, ensuring both players are top of the scoring charts for the competition.

Rafa Marquez’s side are currently preparing for a promotion play-off against Real Madrid Castilla, and the duo’s appearance in training suggests they could both be involved.

The first leg of the tie takes place at the Estadi Johan Cruyff on Saturday, with the two teams set to meet in the return on Sunday, June 11 in the Spanish capital.

Barcelona looking to send Pablo Torre out on loan - report

The midfielder’s future seems to have been decided

Barcelona are reportedly looking to send Pablo Torre out on loan next season and want him to play in La Liga.

Diario Sport reckon the club want him to play regularly in the 2023-24 campaign, something that’s unlikely to happen if he stays, and expect to receive plenty of offers.

Torre arrived last summer but has barely featured in 2022-23. He’s only made one La Liga start which came after the league title had already been wrapped up.

Diario AS reckon that Torre’s most likely destination is Villarreal where he would link up with Quique Setien, who is thought to be a big fan of the youngster.

Barcelona play their final game of the season at the weekend against Torre, and the teenager will be hoping for more first-team minutes.

He could also feature in the post-season friendly against Vissel Kobe, but if he does move on loan that will be the last we see of him in Barca colors for a while.

Lionel Messi willing to wait for Barcelona, reject Saudis’ billionaire contract - report

However, his patience is not unlimited

Lionel Messi is willing to wait for FC Barcelona to submit a formal offer, but his patience has a limit. According to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Argentine will make a decision this month about his future.

This news comes as various reports say that Saudi Arabia are becoming less confident that their offer - an absolutely bonkers 1.2 billion euro contract - will tempt the reigning FIFA The Best winner to drop outside of Europe’s top five leagues.

It was reported that the FIFA World Cup winner had given Barça a 10 day deadline to start making definitive moves to bring him back to the Camp Nou.

Since then, it’s known that La Liga had direct conversations with the player’s father / agent, Jorge. It’s been rumored that the league could approve Barcelona’s so-called “viability plan” by Monday.

However, approving the plan is merely a roadmap, meaning it’s then up to the club to actually execute it in order to bring the players they desire.

The player has already experienced waiting for Barcelona, when his contract with the Catalans first expired in 2021. The board told him his new contract would be registered, but that ultimately never came to pass. He then signed for Paris Saint-Germain, the very same club he’s going to play his last match for this week. Reports state that he wants to avoid a similar scenario this year at all costs.

The GOAT is a goner

Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier has confirmed that Lionel Messi will leave the club at the end of the season when his contract expires.

Galtier was speaking at a press conference ahead of PSG’s last game of the season at the weekend against Clermont and admitted it will be Messi’s last game for the French side.

“I had a privilege of coaching the best player in the history of football. It will be Leo’s last match at the Parc des Princes against Clermont,” he told reporters.

Messi’s future remains the topic of intense speculation, with Barcelona, Inter Miami and clubs in Saudi Arabia thought to be battling it out for his signature.

Barcelona coach Xavi has made it clear that the doors are “wide open” for the GOAT to return, although the rumor mill has claimed an offer has not yet been made.

Messi is thought to favor a return to Barcelona but it’s not clear how long he’s willing to wait, particularly as it’s thought he has plenty of other offers to consider.

The defender is happy at Camp Nou

Ronald Araujo has admitted he has already rejected offers to leave Barcelona and made it clear he’s not worried about his contract situation at the club.

The Uruguay international has agreed a renewal until 2026 but it’s yet to be registered with La Liga because of the club’s financial problems.

Araujo says he expects everything to be resolved soon and is happy to be at Barcelona even if he knows he could earn more elsewhere.

“I’m calm. Those are things that the people who work with me and the club deal with. I’m calm, and from within the club they’ve transmitted the same calmness and said that everything will be resolved soon. I showed with my renewal that I’m happy and I want to be here. Nothing more. I think these are things that get resolved,” he said.

“I rejected very important offers; in various cases, even more than they gave me here. I’m happy here. We live in a world in which money is very important but, for me, it’s not the most important thing. I was doing well here, the people love me, and I feel at home. That’s the most important thing.”

Barcelona are facing a hectic summer transfer window, with contracts for Araujo and Gavi needing to be registered. The club are also hoping to tie down players such as Alejandro Balde, Ousmane Dembele and Lamine Yamal to new deals as well as try to strengthen the squad.
