Chelsea’s Willian has been rumored to be a target of Barcelona this summer. That rumor turned out to be true according to the player himself. In an interview with ESPN after Chelsea’s loss to Manchester City on Sunday, Willian discussed his staying at Chelsea and Barcelona’s rumored interest.
“I’m a Chelsea player, I always made it clear that what I wanted was to stay in the club.
”The only club I knew that really made an official offer for me was Barcelona. But I have my head here and I intend to continue in the club unless the club wants to sell me. But my head is here in the club.”

Willian would have been an interesting player for Barcelona. His playing time would have been interesting to see, but his fit would have been perfect. Should Barcelona want to further bolster their wing positions they’ll have to look elsewhere.
