This rumor just won’t go away
Barcelona have been linked with dozens of players this summer but one rumor that won’t go away is the one suggesting Paul Pogba could swap Old Trafford for the Camp Nou.
Pogba had a tough season at Manchester United but went on to help France win the World Cup and scored in the final against Croatia.
Ernesto Valverde was asked if the club had any interest in Pogba ahead of Barcelona’s ICC clash with AC Milan on Saturday.
While he didn’t really want to talk about it he did suggest Barcelona hadn’t finished spending yet.
“We are Barcelona and, like all teams, we’re open to improving our team,” he said.
“I don’t know right now [if there will be more signings] but there’s a long way to go in the transfer window.
”Pogba’s a great player but he plays for another team. We’re always very respectful with the players that play for other clubs.
”There are a lot of names out there. They’re all good players but we respect the players themselves and the teams they’re playing for currently [by not commenting].”

A move for Pogba at this stage looks pretty unlikely, but then again it’s been a pretty wacky summer in the transfer market for Barcelona so far.
They started off going all in for Antoine Griezmann but have so far ended up with Arthur, Clement Lengent, Malcom, Moussa Wague and Arturo Vidal instead.
