Sergio Busquets admitted Roma were better than Barcelona all over the pitch after Tuesday’s Champions League exit at the hands of the Serie A side.
Barca were expected to progress after a 4-1 first leg win, but they bow out on away goals after losing 3-0 in Rome as the tie finished 4-4 on aggregate.
“They pinned us back and we didn’t know how to react, how to create chances, we were poorly positioned… it was everything [that was wrong].
“And in the end, they got the result and we didn’t. It’s a sad way to go out, especially after the result we had in the first leg. But [the game] went badly, Roma were superior in every way. It’s a really sad night, it’s disappointing for all of us.”

It’s a tough loss for Barcelona to take but they are going to have to bounce back quickly. The league title still needs winning and the Copa del Rey final is a week on Saturday.
