The AS Roma coach says it would be quite a feat
AS Roma head into the second leg of their UEFA Champions League Quarterfinal tie down 1-4 to FC Barcelona, but their coach, Eusebio Di Francesco, isn’t ready to give up yet. Roma do have some glimmers of hope: they have an away goal, they played a decent game despite the scoreline in the first leg, and they play at home this time.
“We have to believe in something important and face the match with passion,” the coach said. “We have to give our all and tomorrow is a time to show that we deserve to do something important.”
Di Francesco admitted that it would be a great feat to knockout Barça, but he insisted they had a right to believe it was possible because they are strong at home. “Barcelona at home themselves are a strong side and away they’ve shown less strength.”
The coach said that, despite how difficult it is, they had a “duty” to try to advance.
